Becoming a member - registration

Throughout the United Kingdom, police forces have, traditionally, adopted varying attitudes to police chaplaincy. With support and encouragement from the various official bodies concerned, Police Chaplaincy UK seeks to advocate a consistent, professional approach to this work through approved training courses and the shared resources and experience that come from belonging to its network of members. If you are working as a recognized chaplain, whether in a professional or voluntary capacity, we invite you to become a member by registering on this website. Before being accepted, contact will be made with the lead chaplain in the force where you work to confirm your official status with them. Once you have registered on this site, you will be able to log in as a member, and use some of the additional facilities that are available here. You will also receive notice of events such as conferences and training courses.

We should also say that, regardless of any contact you may have had - through attending events or meetings - it is important for you to register here in order to be included on our roll of members.

So, to register as a member of Police Chaplaincy UK, please click on the button marked "Log In / Register" in the top, right-hand corner of the site, then look for the word "Register" below the green button and click on "Register". Complete the form that is presented and submit it. (We recommend that you make a note of the password that you entered during this process.) In due course, you will receive an automatic email from our system asking you to click on a link in order to confirm your email address. Once that has been done, your application will be notified to the website administrator who will review it and seek confirmation from your force chaplain. Having confirmed that you are entitled to be a member, the administrator will approve your registration and you will receive a further email with your "log-in" details. For all subsequent visits to the site, you can then use these details to log in and obtain access to the various items that are available to members only.
